Soul Fit — Wholley

BRIEF

Create a brand identity for Soul Fit and a mobile only app to book classes and connect with PT’s.

Step One: UX

SUMMARY

Soul Fit is a holistic gym brand, not just focused on physical health but also the spiritual and mental health of their clients. The clients aim for the brand was to represent fun, freedom and enjoyment.

CONTEXT

One of the apps main focuses, was to use a holistic approach to combine fitness, mindfulness, (with the possibility of incorporating Nutrition and community in the future) into one seamless platform. We wanted to design an easy to use app that members would engage with and be encouraged/motivated by.

The target audience were predominantly, retirees, parents, busy professionals and fitness enthusiasts. With user personas, we started by creating a simple User Journey, outlining what navigating the app would look like.

Lead Designer

The goal was to design or find fonts that could mimic and portray my clients vision. By exploring creative ways to include the holistic, like using the Yin and Yang symbol, I was able to explore many angles that I felt reflected these themes.

The final design represented exactly what my client was looking for and met the desired themes. They were thrilled with the result.

Step Two: Logo design

SUMMARY

“I Just want to use Something easy.”

“I like to find apps that are fun to use, I just end up coming back to them.”

WIREFRAMES

Placing a PT icon on the dashboard of the app designed an easy connection between clients and PT’s. Using the Puregym app for inspiration, we found placing all gym classes on one page, in an easy to understand layout, not only made booking classes easy, but also booking multiple classes a breeze. I also designed an error page that displayed when booking classes that clashed.

CHALLENGES

Some of the questions that came up in our mind map sessions looked like, how could we create an easy link between PT’s and Clients? How do we make bookings as quick as possible, how do we make it easy to make multiple bookings at a time? Looking at user personas that we creates using the Soulfit Database, we came up with some ideas.
